Matt and the kiddos set to work on the first step in our Christmas cut out cookies. Matt decided to try two different recipes, one from the kids cookbook and the other from a parish cookbook. Both turned out really well. It was interesting that one recipe called for sour cream, the cookies tasted delicious, the biggest difference was the difference in consistency, the dough was thicker.
Later on the same day, the kids had fun doing the cut-outs. As you will see, we finished the process when Grandpa and Grandma came over for their hosted meal. It was a miraculous evening with soup and sandwiches, school, Christmas stories and sprinkles and frosting!
St. Nick also found our house :)
