Here comes our bakers- Grandma Berning made these for the girls
This has become a new tradition in its 2nd year at the farm.  Grandpa Berning got the idea last year that it would be a nice tradition to have the kids take an active part in the true story and meaning behind Christmas, the Nativity.  Grandpa Berning has enough animals for each of the grankids and even some parents to place a sheperd, wise men, Mary, Joseph, angel, donkey, camel, lamb, etc... into the manger as he reads from "The Christmas Story."  He has the whole reenactment planned out with assigned parts and the kids who are also taking piano lessons from Grandma Berning got solos and entertained us with some very fitting Christmas songs as we acted out each part.  It was a very special and graceful time spent in Grandpa and Grandma's music room on Christmas Eve.  Thanks Grandpa and Grandma Next Door for the special moments.
