We spent our spring break in Denver, Colorado from April 3rd-7th. My mom turned 60 on March 26th, so we decided to celebrate in a somewhat central location for most. Her three sisters, Nancy, Colleen and Bev live there along with their families. Nick, Jackie, Britta and Graham hopped a plane and met us from Sacramento and even Roger, Anina, Miller and Emmet joined in from Chicago. We had a wonderful time. The kids and parents enjoyed the zoo, swimming pool, hotel stay and the good relaxing family time spent together. Nancy was gracious enough to host the party on Friday night. It also worked out well for our family because we had my sister as an extra driver on the way there (we drove through the night). On the way home, it was Matt and I, Willa, Aloysius and Louis, we lucked out and they enjoyed the down time and R&R in the backseats while we drove from 7am to about 10pm. We will look forward to another trip Summer 2014 for my cousin Katie and Cory's wedding. Another goodie was taking the kids to a place I remember visiting as a child on vacation in Denver, "Casa Bonita" its a Mexican restaurant- it looks like a pink mansion on the outside. Inside you feel as though you are in a rainforest and the best part is that they have a huge waterfall where they do skits every 15 minutes and incorporate divers into the skits from the top of the waterfall. Willa liked when the pirate jumped off the cliff!
